Verna Anne Knouff

Verna Anne Knouff, age 87, of Central Point, OR passed away on June 11, 2026 at Brookdale Memory Care Center in Stanwood, WA. She was born to Ralph and Genevieve (James) Parks on February 11, 1939 in Medford, OR where she was primarily raised and attended school. After graduation Verna attended the American River College in Sacramento, CA and completed several courses through the Rogue Community College. With the exception of a few years living in California, Washington and Vermont, Verna was a lifelong resident of Jackson County.

Verna had two previous marriages prior to finding the love of her life, Wayne Delos Knouff, through square dance lessons. Wayne and Verna married on January 29, 1983 and were devoted partners until his passing in October, 2017. They volunteered and served on various committees related to the Catholic Church and were active members of Our Lady of the River Church in Rogue River.

Verna is survived by her Sister, Sandra Kyker, her sons, Daniel (Terri) Bourdeau and Mark Belrose, her stepchildren, David Knouff, Richard (Terry) Knouff, Mark (Laura) Knouff, Jerry (Lisa) Knouff, Janet (Chip) Ward, Susan (Mark) Hall, and several, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews and nieces. Preceding her in death were her father and mother, her sister Georgene (Bill) Mitchell, her brother Tom (Candy) Parks, her brother-in-law Dave Kyker, as well as her beloved son Thomas Belrose.

A funeral service will be held August 22, 2026 at 10:00am in the Shephard of the Valley Catholic Church, 600 Beebe Rd., Central Point, OR 97502, with a reception of reminiscing and offering of condolences following at the adjacent church hall. Subsequently, a private gathering of family members will be held for final prayers at Hillcrest Memorial Park & Mortuary, 2201 N. Phoenix Rd, Medford, OR.
