Rosalie May Holben

Rosalie May Holben, age 70, of Ashland, Oregon passed Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011. She was born Sept. 1, 1941 in Bakersfield, CA. to Melvin Blake & Gladys Alma(Waterman) Thomas. In 1985 she married James Lester Holben who survives. Before coming to Oregon Rosalie had worked as a prison guard in Safford, AZ. and later in the security dept. of Hewlitt Packard Corp. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints, Ashland Ward. Rosalie enjoyed drawing, gardening, cooking and deer hunting. She is survived by children; Orville L. Rowden, Jerry M. Rowden, Christopher Rowden, William Rowden, Rosalie Fawn Zumwalt, a brother Louis "Pat" Thomas and sister Ramona Thomas. 17 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She will be laid to rest in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Medford, OR.
