Louie May Hinds

Louie May Hinds, 92, of Shady Cove, Oregon passed Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Three Fountains Nursing Center in Medford, Oregon. She was born March 31, 1919 in Dallas, Texas to Louie Harvey & Ida May(Burnett) Fowler. On July 28, 1936 in Dallas she married James Luther Hinds who preceded her in 2001 after 65 years of marriage. Due to declining health Louie May came to the Rogue Valley from Ventura, CA. in June 2005. She enjoyed cake decorating, sewing and had a keen eye for design. For a time she and James raised show quality Chow dogs. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Oregon Humane Society. She is survived by two sons; Jim & Linda Hinds of Shady Cove, OR., and Bob & Marilyn Hinds of Santa Monica, CA., 5 grandchildren; Andy Hinds, Bobby Hinds, Scott Hinds, Shari Tarvin and Gena Valdez, 12 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.
