Leota Mae Cantrall

Leota Mae Cantrall, age 91, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on December 27, 2025. She was born March 7, 1934, in Medford, Oregon, to Edward Levi and Grace (Slavens) Cantrall. She was a 1953 graduate of Medford Senior High School. 

A devoted mother, cherished grandmother, (Grana), great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Leota lived a full life defined by independence, strength, a little bit of sass.

She was proud of her Southern Oregon heritage including her family connection to Cantrall-Buckley Park, the Applegate Valley and the Sterling Mine. She's a 4th generation Oregonian. Her great grandfather, John Cantrall, homesteaded in the Applegate Valley in the 1850s.

Leota enjoyed a career as a beautician and realtor where her leadership and care for the people she served earned her lasting respect. After retirement she remained active taking on a leadership role in her neighborhood and valued the lasting friendships she cultivated there.

Family was the center of her life. The time spent with her children, siblings, grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended family was a gift and the memories made will be treasured by those who loved her for years to come. She loved her family deeply and her warmth and hugs will be missed.

She is survived by her brother Loren Cantrall, son Ernest and wife Jane (Cark) Conrad, son Robin and wife Pam (Osborne) Conrad, daughter Shelli (Cordier) and husband Todd Dufer. Also four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, youngest son T. Timothy Conrad and sister Marion (Cantrall) Strong.

A celebration of life will be held on January 19th, 3:00 PM at Community Bible Church, 500 N. 10th St., Central Point OR.
