John “Denny” Ferrin, 83, was born Jan. 10, 1937 in Red Wing, MN. He was the son of Florence & John Ferrin. He graduated from High School in Detroit Lakes, MN in June 1955. He then attended North Dakota State College in Fargo graduating with a Pharmaceutical degree in 1959. Denny married Darlene Kay Larson on May 30, 1959.
They moved to Staples, MN where he worked in a pharmacy for a year. Daughter Lori was born March 4, 1960 and the family came to Oregon in August 1960. He owned and operated the Phoenix Pharmacy until 1992 when he sold the business but stayed on for 6 more years before retiring. He & Darlene had four children; Lori McCarron Sincerny, Daniel Ferrin, Patricia Wolfe and Jennifer Galster(deceased), eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren, three brothers Tom(deceased), Lynn and David, two sisters Mary and Kathleen(deceased). His wife Darlene survives at the family home in Medford. Denny was very much loved and respected by family and friends. He will be greatly missed.

Denny & Darlene have been members of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Medford for over 60 years and hope a celebration of life ceremony can be held this fall for Denny.
