Graveside service with military honors will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, May 17, 2021 at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Medford, OR. for
US Army Col (Ret.) Jerry Dean Lambo who passed away suddenly on April 26, 2021. He was a long-time resident of Oregon, as well as a well-traveled man. He created many life-long friendships in the Rogue Valley. He was a very generous, charitable and philanthropic man.
Jerry was born to Frank and Margie Lambo at home, on the family's kitchen table, in Chiloquin Oregon. He spent his first 5 years living in and around the Klamath Falls area where his father Frank worked for a Chiloquin Lumber Mill and the Klamath Falls Weyerhauser Mill. Jerry moved to Medford in 1949 where he attended Medford Junior and Senior High, graduating in 1953. He attended Oregon State University, (Sigma Phi Epsilon) graduating in 1957 with a Degree in Chemical Engineering. He studied and received his MBA from Harvard Business School in 1964. Jerry served in the United States Army for 23 years, from 1957 through 1980, retiring as a full Colonel (COL) – Signal Corps (SigC). He served in Vietnam, as well as in Hawaii (Oahu), Korea, Germany, and many other locations throughout Europe and the Pacific.
After retiring from the U.S. Army in 1980, Jerry joined Chase Manhattan Bank as a Vice President, working in areas ranging from corporate data security, electronic commerce, and corporate re-organization. Jerry was the Washington D.C. Federal Departmental Relations Liaison for corporate development work, and he was a member of the Chase team loaned to President Reagan's Grace commission which was formed to study how private sector business procedures could be utilized in managing the federal government.
After leaving Chase in 1990 he helped found and manage the non-profit Private Sector Council (PSC) and later, (1991) a similar organization on Federal and Private sector relationships and partnerships, the ECEF (Electronic Commerce Executive Forum).
While visiting family in Medford in 1992, Jerry met the love of his life, Lady Harriet Ferguson, who became his beloved companion and partner in their Haddo Half Moon Ranch in the Upper Applegate Valley. They created a wonderful place to live, raise, and show Llamas, as well as a place for family and friends to visit their beautiful ranch along the Applegate River, one of the most spectacular places in Southern Oregon.
Jerry moved back to town in 2004 where he resided on the south end of Medford. He was a devoted parishioner of the First Presbyterian Church of Medford and was an active member of the church choir. He was a member of the Medford University Club, the Rogue Valley Country Club, as well as a regular golfer at Centennial Golf Club. Throughout the years of his retirement, his children and grandchildren would come and visit him (mostly in the summer) and swim in his pool and take advantage of the wonderful activities Oregon has to offer.
Jerry is survived by his sister Nancy (Lambo) McGrew and children, ex-wife Virginia A. Pierucci, sons Ronald D. Lambo and wife Maria, and Jahfree Lambo and wife Reagan, grandchildren, Sienna, Luisa, Rose, Garrison and Julissa.

His wishes were that in celebration of his "blessed" life and adventures he might be remembered by donations to the Medford First Presbyterian Church.
