Howard Winters Mitchell

Howard Winters Mitchell passed away peacefully at his home Monday, August 22, 2016 at the ripe age of 95. He lived an amazing life as the husband of Naomi Cynthia (Fredeen) Mitchell who preceded him in death, father of three boys, Steven Patrick and John Howard Mitchell (who both preceded him in death), and is survived by his son, Pete Mitchell, daughter-in-law, Sam (Mellia) Mitchell, and granddaughter, Reilly Mitchell-Shepherd. He also had a long career as the Head Forester for Medford Corporation.
A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 2, 2016 in the aerobics room at Avamere at Waterford, 760 Spring Street behind Providence Medford Medical Center, where he lived the last 3 years of his life.
