Gerald “Jerry” Melvin Koble, of Medford, 90, passed on Friday, August 11, 2023. He now joins his late wife, Charlene Jean. Beloved father of the late Mark Koble, Rebecca (the late Charles) Koble-Sibert, Ruth (David) Koble Swenson, Richard Koble, Pamela (Toby) Hislip and Cheryl (Gabriel) Partida. Cherished grandfather of Keri Titus, Darren Sibert, Lisa (the late Ron) Denbeste, Tyler Swenson, Melissa (Logan) Zenk, Megan Kusel, Niketa (David) Young, Madison (Matthew) Partida Nischan, Jay Koble, Madison (Jason) Araneda. Adored great grandfather of Gaige Stevens, EJ Kusel, Samara Hathaway, Ryleigh Stevens, Joslyn Zenk, and Amilea Koble, Mackenzi Denbeste, Ronnie Denbeste, Mason Araneda and Vivian Araneda.
Jerry was a veteran of the United States Air Force who served during the Vietnam War before retiring in 1973 and settling in Medford, Oregon with his family. He then worked at Balteau Standard as an electrician and plant manager for over twenty years before entering his retirement. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, Charlene, and had a love for good food, music and company. He was an avid golfer, fisherman and dominoes player; and his cribbage skills were rarely matched. His family will miss his snappy wit, sense of humor and kernels of wisdom.
A visitation will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park & Mortuary, 2201 N Phoenix Rd, Medford, on Thursday August 17, 2023 at 10am, the funeral service will begin at 11am, burial to follow immediately after. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the COPD Foundation (
