Donald E. Madsen, 83, of Gold Hill, OR passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 23, 2017, with his family by his side.
Born October 13, 1933 to Paul and Loreen Madsen in Ocean Park, CA.
Don loved to travel with his wife Donna (deceased March 11, 2014). He especially loved the outdoors and the beauty of the Rogue River. Pop would often be spotted at Pattie's Kitchen and Seven Feathers Casino Resort by his bright colored Hawaiian shirts. Most important to him was serving his Father in Heaven and taking care of his family. He did both graciously and with all his heart.
He is survived by his daughter Cheryle Madsen-Stockle, his stepson Kyle Kelley and wife Dodie. He held a special place in his heart for his Grandchildren; Amanda, Matthew and Michael Stockle. Don also was from a large family with seven siblings. Viewing will be at 11:00AM Friday, March 31, 2017 followed by a service at 11:30AM at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, 2305 Taylor Rd, Central Point, OR. He will be laid to rest in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Medford, OR.
