Betty Rogers, 96, was born March 25, 1921 in Elkhart, Indiana, the eldest of 3 children born to Ward Bishop McCartney and Mabel (Juni) McCartney. She graduated from Elkhart High 1939 and Purdue University 1942. Betty met Dallas K. Rogers in High School, and they married Dec. 2, 1944. They were married for 50 years, before Dallas passed. Dallas was a B-17 navigator during WWII. Betty and Dallas had 3 sons: Robert, Brian & David. Betty was a wife, mother and worked 20 years for Los Angeles
County Library. While they raised their sons, she was a stay at home mom while Dallas worked
as an Art Consultant for the West Covina School District from 1954 to 1971. In retirement, they moved to Medford where Betty kept busy with Mended Hearts, AAUW, 1st Presbyterian Church and their grandchildren. Later, she moved to Fountain Plaza, where she lived for 14 years. She is survived by her sister Prisilla (Bob) Johnson; her children: Robert (Shari) Rogers; Brian (Neola) Rogers; David (Trinka) Rogers; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
