Bernice Ann Rucker

A funeral mass will be held Monday, October 25, 2010, at 11:00 a.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, in Medford, Ore., for Bernice Rucker, who died October 18, 2010, at age 88.
Bernice was born September 30, 1922, in Belleville, Ill., and is gone from this life, into the loving arms of God. Daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend, but first and foremost she was a mom. Her career was loving and taking care of her family, which included anyone who needed a freshly baked cookie and a sympathetic ear.
Her nickname in the neighborhood was the "Bird Lady". She had an amazing ability to care for injured wild birds. They were calm under her hands. She was a gentle woman who loved God, her family and nature.
