Alvie was born Sept, 16th, 1927 in Terra Bella, Calif, and moved to Oregon shortly after, he was proud to be an Oregon resident.  He is preceded in death by his wife Marlene, his daughter Linda Lane, and his son Kemp.  He is survived by his son, Alvin (Cricket) Peyton, daughter-in-law April Peyton, with their 6 children, Doug, Dustin, Desiree, Devon, Danielle, and Denise.  Also daughter Debbie Lester, son-in-law Larry Lester, and their 3 children, Jason, Dallas, and Cody.  Also Alan Lane.  Alvie loved his great grandchildren as well, a total of 20!  Dean Peyton is the only surviving brother.

Alvie was an avid hounds man, hunter, trapper and cowboy.  In the Army, he proudly served as a Corporal in World War 2 as well as being a Military Police Officer.  He loved serving his community, gathering items for local fire departments yard sales as well as selling tickets for local high school sport events.  He loved being considered a grandfather coach to many different sport teams.  He sure was loved and greeted by many.  You'd be sure to see him coming, and the ladies all knew what to expect with his giving hugs.  He would make everyone chuckle, he could easily light up a room.  He was very much loved and will greatly be missed!

Following the services at Eagle Point Cemetery all are invited to a potluck gathering at Chamberlain Park, 333 Crystal Drive, Eagle Point, OR.
