    Lula F. Myrtue Our Aunt Lu passed away on May 8, 2010. She was 100 years old. She was born in Joplin, Mo., to Reuben and Blanche Whitney Hardy on May 11, 1909. She had two brothers and three sisters. The family moved from Nebraska to Iowa. In Iowa she met the love of her life, Cecil Myrtue. They were married over 50 years. In the 1970s, Lu and Cecil moved to Medford, Ore., where they celebrated their 50th anniversary. She belonged to the Rogue River Valley Regional Medical Center Hospital Auxiliary and the United Methodist Church while living in Medford. Lu came to Brookside Landing in Orofino, Idaho in 2006 to be with her family: Bob and Alice Hardy and family, Barbara (Hardy) Rasmussen and Donna (Hardy) Dodson. She was preceded in death by husband, Cecil; all her brothers and sisters; and two nieces. Cremation has taken place. She will be laid to rest beside her husband, Cecil at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Medford OR. 541-773-6162 www.hillcrestmortuary.com
